Swimming Sports

As I woke up the sun, was shining through my curtains onto my face. Milo my kitten was meowing, then I remembered it was the day I would do my best, in the splashing water.
I got to school and walked down to the pools. I sat down on the wooden seats, and waited till I heard an event I wanted to do.

Miss Whitfield called out “Open Butterfly”, so I got up on the burning concrete diving area. As Mr K blew the whistle, I dived in the cool, glistening water. I saw the crowd cheering, I heard people shouting, it was like I was in the Olympics.

I tasted chlorine water as I accidentally swallowed some, I smelt yuck chlorine. As I reached the end I felt happy as I looked around me. I was proud of myself. I got out of the pools.

We did the house relays St Ann came first, St Francis came second which is my house, St Joseph came third and lucky last St Anthony came last. Then we got ten minutes free time.

I had a really good day at my first St Paul’s Swimming Sports.
